Wellness
What is wellness?

It is the sense that you are living in a manner that permits the experience of consistent, balanced growth in the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, social and psychological dimensions of human existence.

This has enormous implications for students - and, in fact, for all young people who are still experimenting with life's choices. Wellness embraces physical activity, healthy eating, sleep, building healthy relationships, developing a sense of purpose and meaning, developing intellectual curiosity and expertise, and connection to a spiritual community, among other factors.

Why is wellness important? Because wellness is salutogenic, or health causing; it's about positive feelings and potential. And isn't that what we all want for our student populations?
